Inclusive engineering education

Learning should be usable by everyone.

ASIC Campus is building an accessible VLSI learning experience across lessons, code examples, assessments and public information.

01

Keyboard first

Core navigation and learning interactions are designed to remain usable without a mouse.

02

Readable by design

Strong contrast, scalable typography, responsive layouts and clear technical content support comfortable reading.

03

Semantic structure

Headings, landmarks, labels and meaningful HTML help assistive technologies interpret each page.

Our standard

Accessibility commitment

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA principles across public and learning pages. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing engineering requirement rather than a one-time checklist.

  • Keyboard navigation throughout primary platform flows
  • Screen-reader friendly semantic markup and form labels
  • Responsive layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop
  • Readable monospace presentation for code and terminal output
  • Text alternatives or explanations for critical technical visuals where practical
Known challenges

Technical visual content

Waveforms, timing diagrams, schematics and other visual engineering material can be difficult to represent fully through assistive technology. We work to accompany critical visual information with explanatory text and structured context.
